Publicly Funded PreK
Windham Southeast Supervisory Union announces that school districts in the towns of Brattleboro, Dummerston, Guilford, Putney, and Vernon will offer funding for 10 hours per week of pre- kindergarten education for 3-5 year olds in community-based preschools that contract with their local school districts.
Pre-kindergarten education is designed to provide young children with developmentally appropriate early learning experiences based on Vermont’s Early Learning Standards. In the 2018-19 school year, children in the WSESU towns used public pre-k funding to attend 18 different preschools that have partnership contracts with a WSESU school district.
