Becoming a Four Winds volunteer is one the most rewarding positions available. Not only do you get to interact directly in a teaching manner with the students, but you are bound to learn many interesting things, too!
Each month a Four Winds employee comes to Vernon Elementary to teach volunteers about a particular topic. The volunteers, in turn, will teach our students. These subjects vary in content. This year the students will explore patterns of similarities and differences. Vermont Standards are addressed during each lesson.
This program is directed toward children in Kindergarten thru 5th grades. Four Winds is a program funded by Vernon Elementary School and PTC/Spirit Club.
