If you are a new family to VES, you may have questions about many aspects of the school. The PTC page offers info about the fundraising/volunteer opportunities, and within these items is usually a description of the VES event. If you have any questions about any aspect of these events and how they impact your child, feel free to contact any PTC member, either via email or the phone.

I remember what it was like to be new... my kids were in first and second grades when we moved here, and everything was unknown to me. Take the first Thanksgiving Luncheon my kids went through. I had no idea this traditional event even existed. I didn't even hear anything about it until a few weeks after the event, when one of my kids said that Mrs. Rayl sat in as their parent for the luncheon since neither myself nor my husband were there. I felt horrible. I could have made arrangements to be there if I had understood the event. I don't want other parents to be as clueless as I was.
